GANS have announced details of their second album, a self-titled record set for release on 26th February 2027 via Strap Originals. Alongside the announcement, the West Midlands duo have shared new single ‘MY GOD IS A STRANGER’, following previous album track ‘DO YOU GLOW?’.

Produced by YOUTH in southern Spain, the band’s second LP sees Thomas Rhodes and Euan Woodman push further into electronic music, exploring a broader dancier sound while retaining the raw energy of their earlier work.

Discussing the new single, GANS explain that the song draws on the breakdown of relationships during the album’s writing. Speaking about the record, the band say: “During the writing of the album, we broke up with our partners, so that played a part on the narrative of what it’s about. ‘MY GOD IS A STRANGER’ is an embodiment of pursuit of an individual trying to find belonging within casual relationships and flings. We’ve always been interested in spirituality and the occult and in the past, we got lost in that world. And that started to filter into the lyrics as we wrote it. A cauldron of casual sex and witchcraft - with us chopping our way through that all trying to figure out meanings in it all as we grow further into our lives.”

The track is accompanied by a self-directed live performance video, filmed at the vaults in Vauxhall, London, featuring live member Tommy Lawther on saxophone.

The album follows GANS’ 2025 debut ‘GOOD FOR THE SOUL’, produced by Ross Orton. Since its release, the duo have built a reputation as a formidable live act, playing more than 150 shows in 2025 and approaching 200 gigs across 2026.

GANS are set to embark on another UK headline tour this month, with dates including Liverpool’s Rough Trade, Sheffield’s Yellow Arch and London’s 100 Club. They will also play The Forum in London with Opus Kink on 26th November, with further touring plans for 2027 due to be announced.
