Bleech 9:3 unleash searing new single ‘Figure 8’
‘Figure 8’ is their first release since their critically acclaimed self-titled debut EP came out in May.
Arguably one of the fastest rising alt-rock acts of recent years, Bleech 9:3 are back with their first new music since their self-titled debut EP landed earlier this year, sharing new single ‘Figure 8’.
The Irish quartet have seen a notably rapid rise since their May release, with their upcoming headline tour already selling out.
A fan favourite from the band’s thrashing live sets, ‘Figure 8’ sees Bleech 9:3 push further into their 00s inflected alt-rock sound. The track was produced by Dan Carey, of Fontaines D.C., Wet Leg, Squid and black midi fame - a producer renowned for his searing guitar tones and acerbic rock-focused approach.
For frontman Baz, the track is considerably more emotionally fraught than its title might suggest. “‘Figure 8’ is the product of crying quietly so your flatmates don’t hear you,” he says.
