Beck reveals latest single ‘Disappearing Act’ from upcoming LP ‘Ride Lonesome’
Beck’s hotly anticipated fifteenth album, ‘Ride Lonesome’ is due for release on 18th September.
Beck has shared ‘Disappearing Act’, the latest cut from his long-awaited new album ‘Ride Lonesome’.
The new track arrives as the third preview of Beck’s new material since 2017’s Grammy-winning ‘Hyperspace’, following recent singles ‘Ride Lonesome’ and ‘In The Night’.
Characterised by delicate acoustic guitars, cinematic orchestration and tight vocal harmonies, ‘Disappearing Act’ finds Beck reflecting over a distinctly psychedelic folk arrangement. Looking back on the recording process, Beck notes, “While we were revisiting a musical and physical place, it also felt like we were finding new sounds and emotional textures along the way.”
Produced by himself, Beck has once again turned to longtime collaborator Nigel Godrich (Radiohead, Atoms for Peace) for mixing duties. The pair previously worked together on Beck’s acclaimed earlier records, ‘Sea Change’ and ‘Mutations’.
