Will Compton Sings A New Tune About Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Wedding Snub
Will Compton remains “flabbergasted” about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift‘s wedding drama, but for a different reason.
The former NFL star began trending after seemingly calling out his pal for not inviting him to the biggest wedding of the year. He shared two reactions to the snub that implied he was far from happy.
However, Will Compton recently clarified his stance on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Will Compton Says His Viral Reactions To Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift’s Wedding Were Jokes
Kelce and Swift said their vows in a star-studded ceremony on Friday, July 3, at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The event featured people from different walks of life, including Fox Sports’ rules analyst Dean Blandino.
Compton recently walked back his comments about Blandino and Kelce, clarifying that he meant no harm and was only poking fun at the media attention his reactions sparked. “Flabbergasted at how many people took this seriously. A couple media outlets reached out directly,” he shared on X.
The former athlete noted that media outlets wanted to know if he would go on record about his reactions, whether he had spoken to Kelce, or if there were more people upset about the wedding snub. “Insanity!!!” Compton continued with two laughing emojis, adding:
“I was just busting balls. Of course Dean Blandino was invited to the wedding. He’s practically a teammate of Travis’s, being a former NFL Referee.”
The Former NFL Star Seemingly Implied Dean Blandino Did Not Deserve An Invite
Compton referenced his initial post that escalated the media attention and sparked mixed reactions from fans. The Blast covered the X post in question, reporting that the “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast co-host had implied Blandino did not deserve an invite to Kelce’s wedding.
“Don’t think I’ve ever seen Dean Blandino at Tight End University,” Compton wrote. His words referenced Kelce’s yearly Tight End University summit, which the former linebacker has collaborated on. Some fans agreed, wondering why his pal chose Blandino over him.
Others argued that Compton didn’t get an invite because of his past comments about Swift. He caused a stir in September 2025 for seemingly implying that the “Bad Blood” singer’s engagement to Kelce was a distraction to the game. Naturally, Swifties ripped him apart for targeting their idol.
The Media Personality Was In Italy During The Wedding
Before his Blandino comment, Compton’s initial reaction to the wedding snub came on Dave Portnoy’s “Wake Up Barstool” podcast. The Blast shared that the host had been stunned by Compton’s absence from Kelce’s wedding and called him on the show for his reaction.
When the former athlete picked up, he confirmed he was in Italy; however, he did not skip the wedding because of the trip. Compton claimed he never got invited to the wedding and initially did not think much of the snub until he started seeing pictures of those who attended.
Portnoy added that almost everyone from Kelce’s Tight End University group had been there, and Compton noted he would speak with his pal before making any assumptions. His absence and that of others allegedly caused a stir in the Kansas City Chiefs’ group chat.
The Wedding Snub Allegedly Exploded In A Kansas City Chiefs Group Chat

Compton and former NFL player Taylor Lewan did not receive invites to Kelce and Swift’s wedding alongside other Sports stars. The Blast reported that an anonymous Chiefs player claimed these wedding snubs had sparked heated discussions on the team’s group chat.
One name in particular, Harrison Butker, made waves in the group because of his past conflict with Kelce. Butker sparked mixed reactions in 2024 with controversial comments about Pride Month and women’s roles in society, statements Kelce disagreed with.
The source explained that the couple’s decision to exclude Butker from his wedding left some Chiefs players feeling like he was dividing the team. Another anonymous source claimed many from the Chiefs team RSVP’d no to the wedding.
Will Compton Wasn’t The Only Celebrity Missing From Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce’s Wedding

Besides Compton, several stars did not attend Kelce and Swift’s big day for one reason or the other. The list included Ryan Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, whose relationship with the singer became strained amid their “It Ends With Us” legal battle.
Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh Sperry were another couple famously close to Kelce and Swift, but they reportedly grew distant “due to differences in their lifestyles.” PEOPLE shared that singers Kelly Clarkson and James Taylor were notably absent.
The list of absentees continued with Ryan Seacrest unable to attend due to work obligations, while former NBA star Charles Barkley skipped because of his no-wedding rule. Fans also expected to see singer Lana Del Rey at the event, but she had Fourth of July plans.
