Addison Rae‘s dad, Monty Lopez, does not want his famous daughter involved in his mess!
The singer’s dad has expressed his desire to limit his estranged wife, Kaitlyn Lopez, from sharing any content about his daughter for public consumption as they continue to navigate their divorce.
Addison Rae’s dad dashed to court to pull the plug on their marriage in May, barely a year after they tied the knot in Las Vegas, a month after cops showed up at his home.
Addison Rae’s Dad Claims Kaitlyn Lopez Violated A Temporary Protective Order
Monty, in his latest filing, asked that the judge intervene and order his ex to desist from posting about his famous daughter amid their nasty divorce. In the legal document, Monty accused his ex of violating a temporary protective order by reaching out to him multiple times, hence defying the court order.
The most pressing issue for Addison’s father is the exposure her daughter is getting from Kaitlyn, which he wants reduced to the barest minimum. He emphasized that his ex has done it multiple times and even posted photos of Addison on her Instagram Story and added her songs to her social media post.
As shared by TMZ, Monty also accused Kaitlyn of posting photos of them as a couple while soliciting for funds from the public. He added that she has equally been acting rather unstable.
Monty Lopez’s Claimed His Estranged Wife Pulled A Gun On Him
The Blast shared in May that Monty and Kaitlyn were married for less than a month when they separated, and the former signed the dotted lines of divorce nearly 7 months after their nuptials.
The divorce filing occurred a few weeks after authorities stopped by Monty’s home in April for a check, after which he was arrested five days later on a felony marijuana-related charge.
Shortly after the arrest, Monty made a crucial move in court to safeguard himself amid claims that Kaitlyn’s violent behavior necessitated it. According to Addison’s father, Kaitlyn had pulled out a gun on him during one of their numerous public confrontations, which defined their marriage.
Kaitlyn debunked her estranged husband’s allegations, insisting they were false, and admitted that their incessant fights during the marriage took a toll on her. Monty eventually secured the protective order, which ordered Kaitlyn to vacate his residence and keep her distance until their next court date.

Years before Monty locked eyes with Kaitlyn at a bar in Louisiana, fell in love and tied the knot in a quick Las Vegas wedding, he was involved with Addison’s mother, Sheri Easterling.
As Addison climbed the ladder of fame, Monty and Sheri reunited in 2017, 13 years after their first marriage in 2004, but unfortunately broke up again in 2022 amid cheating rumors.
During the course of their first marriage, the duo shared three children before they went their separate ways. However, they were stuck in a contentious divorce battle that lasted for years after their divorce.
Sheri had sought for full custody of their youngest son alongside child support and supervised visitation for her former husband. Her request was sandwiched between allegations of physical abuse against Monty, as Sheri also requested for DNA to prove if Monty was their youngest child’s father.
She continued that Monty also verbally and emotionally abused her during the relationship alongside her children, including Addison, who experienced being degraded and insulted by Monty.
The 50-Year-Old’s Marriage To Sheri Easterling Failed Due To Alleged Infidelity
The second time was not a charm for Monty and Sheri, as noted by The Blast, because five years into the union, allegations of Monty engaging in an extramarital affair surfaced. The mystery woman was identified as a 25-year-old Renée Ash, who was involved in a five-month romp with him.
Rénee had revealed in 2022 that she got romantically involved with Monty based on the false information he gave her about his marital status. He had reportedly assured the 25-year-old that his marriage with Sheri was over and he was ready to start a new family with Rénee.
She continued that Monty had introduced her to his family, creating a fantasy that what they shared was real, until she found out he was also flirting with girls younger than her both physically and online.
Rénee’s confession ended with an apology to Addison, Sheri and her siblings for the damage her actions may have caused to their family, alongside evidence of conversations between herself and Monty during the relationship.
Addison Rae’s Father Battled Allegations Of Sexual Misconduct
Monty was arrested last July for an alleged sexual incident which occurred over a year before he was finally picked up. There were claims that he had intentionally exposed his private part in public with the intention of arousing a sexual response.
Court documents involved in that arrest described Monty’s action as one done with prurient interest and patently offensive. Following his arrest, his bond was listed at $2,500, and he entered a not-guilty plea to the charges at his arraignment in September 2025.
Monty’s charges were recorded as obscenity, which is a felony, and also as a sex crime, and the case is still active after its last hearing on March 19.
